Check-in:

Passengers should arrive at the airport 2.5 hours prior to departure. Those passengers returning the same day and with only carry-on luggage can check-in for both the outbound and return flights.

Self-service kiosks available at most airports.

Passengers flying between Scandinavian countries can check in through the SAS website, up to 22 hours prior to departure.

Business class passengers can check in at certain SAS Business Hotels and by telephone.

Frequent flier members:

With the EuroBonus program, passengers can earn points towards free tickets or upgrades when traveling on SAS or any Star Alliance airline. Other participating carriers are airBaltic, Air Greenland, Atlantic Airways, Blue1, SAS Braathens, Cimber Air, Estonian Air, Icelandair, Maersk Air, Qantas, Skyways, snowflake, South African Airways and Wideroe.

Airport lounges:

EuroBonus Gold Card or Star Gold cardholders can enjoy access to any SAS lounge or any Star Alliance airline lounge worldwide. Business class passengers enjoy access to SAS Business Lounges.

Carry-on rules:

Business class passengers on intercontinental flights can bring two pieces of carry-on luggage. Economy class passengers can bring one piece of carry-on luggage. Each item should not weigh more than 18 pounds (8kg) or be more than 45 inches (115 cm) long. Some rules may apply.

Meal options:

Special meals can be requested, but have to be requested 24 hours prior to departure. Some of these meals include kosher, low-calorie and vegetarian, as well as meals for children and infants. Business class passengers have the option to choose between several regular meals.

Children:

Unaccompanied children ages 5-11 must fly with a companion 16 years old or older, or use SAS's Unaccompanied Minor Service. This service is also available for children ages 12-15 when requested. A small fee is charged.

Pet policy:

Pets are allowed on board SAS flights. Dogs and cats can be brought on board and in the cabin as long as the pet (including the kennel) does not weigh more than 18 pounds (8kg) and has the proper certification.

Other amenities:

Business class passengers receive socks, Temple Spa moisturizing balm, earplugs, sleep mask, and a "do not disturb" sign. PC power (110 volt) outlets are available in Business Class and Economy Extra seats. There are plans in the future to offer wireless Internet service on long-haul flights.
