US Airways and America West recently merged, and are now under the USAirways name.?

Check-in:

Passengers should arrive at the airport one hour prior departure for domestic flights, and two hours prior to departure prior to international flights. Boarding passes should be obtained 30 minutes prior to departure.

Passengers can check-in at check-in kiosks at selected airports.

Priority check-in lanes are offered for Chairman's Preferred, Gold Preferred, Silver Preferred, First Class and Envoy Class passengers in Boston, Charlotte, Denver, Fort Myers, LaGuardia, Miami, Philadelphia (B and C concourses) and Pittsburgh.

Frequent flier members:

A new Dividend Miles program will be implemented in Spring 2006 as a result of the merger with America West. Any unused miles will be integrated into the program. The members of the Dividend Miles program can earn frequent flier miles on US Airways, US Airways Express and Star Alliance carriers Asiana, bmi, Lufthansa, Singapore Air, United and Varig.

Airport lounges:

USAirways Club members can use the lounges found in London and 20 U.S. airports, as well as United's Red Carpet Clubs when code-sharing with United. Chairman and Gold Preferred members can use the Star Alliance member airlines' lounges.

Carry-on rules:

Passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on luggage plus one personal item such as a purse, briefcase, diaper bag, camera bag, laptop computer, or backpack. Carry-on luggage should not weigh more than 40 pounds.

Meal options:

Meals are offered for sale (cash only) on domestic flights of more than 700 miles. Breakfast is $7 and lunch or dinner is $10. Snack boxes are $5. Regular meal and beverage service is offered in first class.

Special meals are no longer offered on domestic, Caribbean, and Latin American flights in coach and first class. They are offered on trans-Atlantic routes upon request 24 hours in advance.

Children:

Unaccompanied children under 5 years of age cannot fly. Unaccompanied children between 5-7 years of age can fly on nonstop and direct flights for a $40 fee. Unaccompanied children between 8-14 years of age can fly on all routes for a $40 fee on nonstop/direct flights and $75 fee on connecting flights.

Pet policy:

Small pets (dogs, cats, and birds) are permitted on domestic flights (limit one pet in first class, two pets in coach) for a fee of $80 each way. Advance reservations are necessary. They are not allowed on trans-Atlantic flights.

Dogs, cats, and birds are accepted as checked baggage only on nonstop USAirways Shuttle flights between Washington Reagan National, New York LaGuardia Airport, and Boston Logan International Airport.

Other amenities:

All Airbus A319, A320, A321 and A330 planes are equipped with 15-volt power ports for laptops and other electronic devices. An adapter is required.

There are Children's Rooms in Charlotte, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh for unaccompanied children on connecting flights.
