Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines is perhaps best compared to Ryanair for its "unbundled" fares (the headline ticket price is very low and fees are charged for carrying luggage, checking-in baggage, seat assignments, in-flight snacks and drinks) and in-your-face advertising which capitalises on, among other things, celebrities' indiscretions. It also employed a "Strippermobile" in 2011 to advertise its flights from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, a clear-windowed truck with a pole dancer inside. The Florida-based carrier describes itself as an Ultra Low-Cost Carrier, the leading no-friller to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Central and Latin America.
