Passengers can earn miles with TAM's Fidelidade program. Members can also earn miles on code-sharing flights with its partner airlines: Air France, American Airlines, KLM, and TAM Mercosur.

Airport lounges:

Passengers with a Fidelidade Vermelho card and First and Business Class passengers can use TAM's VIP lounges at the following airports: Campo Grande, Congonhas (São Paulo), Curitiba, Florianópolis, Galeão (Rio de Janeiro), Goiânia, Guarulhos (São Paulo), Londrina, Miami (shared with British Airways and open only to First and Business Class passengers), Porto Alegre, Recife, Santos Dumont (Rio de Janeiro), and São Luiz.

Children:

Accompanied children under 12 years of age can travel domestically accompanied by an adult 18 and over. These must be either or both parents, or a close relative such as a brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparent, or great-grandparent. The child's birth certificate must be presented upon traveling.

Children over 12 years of age can travel domestically unaccompanied, but must present a birth certificate upon traveling domestically.

Unaccompanied children over 5-12 years of age must present a judicial or notarized authorization from one parent or guardian, or both, before traveling domestically. The same applies when traveling accompanied by a non-relative.

Unaccompanied children over 2-5 years of age must present a judicial or notarized authorization from one parent or guardian, or both, before traveling domestically. An extra flight attendant must be present to accompany the child throughout the trip. The same applies when traveling accompanied by a non-relative.

Unaccompanied children under 2 years of age must travel accompanied by either or both parents, or a close relative such as a brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparent, or great-grandparent, provided they present a judicial or notarized authorization from the child's parents before traveling domestically and documents certifying the child's relationship to them. The same applies when traveling accompanied by a non-relative.

Any judicial or notarized authorization is valid for 60 days, and for a round trip.

Please note that the parent must pay the plane ticket for the extra flight attendant.

Pregnant women:

Pregnant women in their 7th month of pregnancy may not travel on TAM or TAM Mercosul unless she provides a medical certificate allowing her to fly. In the 8th or 9th month of pregnancy, the passenger must provide a medical certificate recognizing her condition and allowing her to fly until a certain date. If this certificate is not provided, then the passenger may only fly with a doctor present. In the 7 days prior to giving birth, the woman may not fly, and may not fly with the child until 9 days after giving birth.

For flights on American Airlines or Air France, and within the United States, the passenger must present a medical certificate if she wants to fly 7 days before giving birth. This certificate must be issued 48 hours before departure time.

Pet policy:

Pets are not permitted in the cabin on domestic flights, but can fly as cargo in a specially prepared area. They must travel in a portable kennel. If the pet is over 3 months old, he/she must have the proper vaccinations and the documentation necessary. Pets under 3 months old can only travel with the specific authorization of the veterinarian. There is a fee for this service.
