Eastern Airways

In our no-frills landscape, the airline aims to provide an enjoyable "Eastern Experience" which, reminiscent of the golden days of air travel. Complimentary meals are served, executive airport lounges are available at certain airports (Birmingham, Bristol, Norwich and Cardiff), flight times are scheduled to fit in with the business day and there is a valet baggage service.

 

Eastern Airways Check-in

 

Check-in desks open one hour before scheduled departure and passengers are recommended to check-in 30 minutes prior to take-off.

Eastern Airways baggage allowance

Hand luggage: up to two pieces are permitted weighing up to 10kg (22lbs) and measuring 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22in x 17in x 10in). 

Checked baggage: the checked-baggage allowance is 15kg (33lbs) per passenger. 

Excess baggage rates: £6 per kg, per sector (one-way flight).

Eastern Airways legroom

Seat pitch varies by aircraft. On a Jetstream 41 or an Embraer ERJ135 it's 79cm (31in) and on a Saab 2000 it's 81cm (32in).

Pre-arranged seating

Seats are allocated at check-in. Eastern Airways tries to "honour advance seating requests" but may assign or reassign seats at any time, even after boarding.

Passenger change details

Changes depend on the conditions of the fare type purchased. In some instances the fare type will allow changes without charge and others may require an upgrade fee. To check, contact reservations (08703 669 100) 

Child fares

Infants (under two years old) travel free on an adult’s lap. Children over two years pay adult fares. Unaccompanied children must be at least five years old.

Senior fares

Eastern Airways does not offer any discounts for older passengers.

Pets

Guide dogs are the only animals allowed on Eastern Airways' flights.

Carrying musical instruments

The carriage of musical instruments should be arranged with Eastern Airways in advance. If the instrument is larger or heavier than a normal piece of cabin baggage, but unsuitable to be stowed in the hold, it will only be carried by the airline with advance notice (the passenger must have permission in writing). There will be a separate charge for this.

In-flight service

Complimentary snacks and drinks are served on all flights.

In-flight magazine

The in-flight magazine is called Magazine. Described as the "print equivalent of Eastern Airways; stylish, enjoyable and yours" it can be read online.
