Passenger change details

The ability to make changes depends on the fare class and, in general, the cheaper the fare, the more restricted the ticket. For Economy Class, refunds are not permitted and changes - on a London-Abu Dhabi flight for example cost about £75. Passengers may add "flexibility" to a booking for a fee. For London-Abu Dhabi in Economy Class, buying "flexibility" will allow passengers to change a booking for £75 and receive a refund on that booking for a cost of £100.

Child fares

There is a discount for children between 2 and 11 years of about 75 per cent.

Senior fares

Etihad Airways does not offer discounts for older travellers.

Pets

The airline will accept falcons and guide dogs in the hold (on certain routes) and all other animals travel as cargo. Contact your local Etihad Airways office for full details. Falcons are accepted in the cabin and guide dogs may accompany their owner in the cabin on flights from Abu Dhabi to the USA. Etihad will not accept pets on transit flights through Abu Dhabi.

Carrying musical instruments

Musical instruments are stowed in the hold and count towards a passenger's baggage allowance or are charged the excess baggage rate if the free baggage allowance is exceeded. Musical instruments may be transported in the cabin as long as an extra seat is purchased.

In-flight service

All meals are Halal and do not contain pork or alcohol. Award-winning chefs create meals with a variety of influences — European, Asian and Middle Eastern. Champagne and celebration cakes (for a birthday or anniversary for example) can be ordered at the time of booking. The airline boasts that it has the largest video screens in Economy Class - 26cm (10.4in).
